The Gillingham Nursery is not just a “nursery” or “child care school”, we offer it to everybody as a home from home.
MEET LESLEY DARTNELL,
OUR NURSERY MANAGER
I am Lesley Dartnell, the Manager of The Gillingham Nursery, Gillingham.
From 1987 – 1993, I started in legal and secretarial Roles. However, I changed my profession in 2002 and started my career as a Childcare Practitioner. I love working with children and parents.
In my many years teaching and taking care of children, I show children how to learn and bring out the best in them in a fun, safe and exciting way.
At Gillingham Nursery, I supervise train and guide staff. I’m creating and maintaining relationships with parents/carers and children and planning/implementing quality, innovative early years education and care for children aged 2-5 years.
It allows each child to reach their own potential and plan for the next step by following the children’s interests. I am very grateful to be able to make a difference to many children and their families.
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We are proud to share all the accomplishments we have since we open it in 1998. But we are more proud of the amazing kids we have welcomed, guided and nurtured. They amaze us with their great knowledge, skills, talents and achievements. We are very proud that we have contributed to their success.

Here in The Gillingham Nursery, we believe that every child has its unique ability that needs to be develop and enhance naturally. Every child here is OUR CHILD.
Exceptional Childcare
In 2011, Magdalena opened the nursery in Gillingham and started to make changes in children’s and their families’ lives.
When she and her family moved to the USA, they started a new nursery over there called Happy Bunnies. The Gillingham Nursery is currently run by manager Lesley Dartnell, together with Assistant Manager Jenni Bearfoot, who has been with the nursery since it first opened in 2011.
The Gillingham Nursery encourages every child to learn and develop their skills through enjoying and having fun. It is our utmost priority to make sure that children are enjoying everything they are doing; that’s why we are preparing educational but fun activities only.
Inside our premises, you will see our fun, creative and exciting setting.
We like to learn from real-life experience – Magdalena always says, “It is better to do once than to be told five times”.
In order to teach a real-life experience, the first step is to treat everyone as a family of our own. We are offering our nursery as a home, and we are welcoming everybody as a family.
