We decided to work on our maths knowledge.  We provided plenty of opportunities for children to engage with resources that encourage maths language and for adults to extend on this.   We recently bought a new mat which the children enjoyed using to play hopscotch and name the numbers as they go.  

We made our own games using the coloured cubes where we could assess the knowledge of patterns, colour, number recognition and quantity.   We made a maths focused talking board for children to tell us something about what they see. 

Children were able to name 2d shapes, 3d shapes, numbers, colours, patterns, sizes and talk about how we see this in our environment.   Children also played the shape scavenger hunt game where they needed to find shaped objects around the room.
