It is a physical week in the Jungle room this week. We will have fun with skipping, jumping and running and making sure children are aware of their own body and how it works. We will be concentrating on potty training and using pictures to help children recognise that they need to go. We planned lots of messy play, play with shaving foam and gloop. Sticking and painting, water play in the garden (we have the sprinkler on almost all the time now) songs and stories. All of that is planned for our toddlers this week.
Babies will be developing personally, socially and emotionally this week. We planned group games, playing with playdough in groups, singing songs and dancing that should encourage our babies to interact with their friends. We will be playing with puppets and exploring facial expressions. We should also have lots of fun playing with building blogs and building towers that we can knock down.
Our Pre-schoolers are getting ready for their sports day on Wednesday. We hope that all children will be able to come and participate, looks like the weather will be glorious once again! So don’t forget to come at 10:00 am. Neil our football coach should be helping too, can’t wait to see what our little treasures learned. For the rest of the week, we will be practising our writing skills and the way we hold the pencil. We want all the older children to be ready for school in September. On Thursday, children will be able to practice their football skills with Neil again.
