This week in preschool we have been learning about recycling and how we can help to look after our world. The children have explored the three R’s: reduce, reuse and recycle.
Through a variety of hands on activities , the children have learned about different materials, how to sort recyclable items, and why is it important to reduce waste. We have reused everyday objects in our play and creative activities, helping the children to see how items can be given a new purpose instead of being thrown away.
The children have enjoyed discussing ways they can help the environment both at preschool and at home. These experiences have supported their understanding of the world around them while encouraging responsibility, problem solving and care for our planet.
We are very proud of the enthusiasm the children have shown and the positive choices they have been making to become little eco heroes!
