Exploring Colours and Sounds

The first days of school are the hardest

This week in our babyroom we have been exploring various colours with different sponges and doing ice painting to explore different textures. We extended this by hiding objects away to feel and having dented playdough. We have been looking at family photos to identify our mummy’s, daddy’s, nanny’s and grandad’s.

Toddlers have been going on a bear hunt and playing toddler games. The toddlers are creating an animal march, using our bodies to recreate animals, for example snapping our arms for a crocodile and tall necks for a giraffe. In our preschool room they have been listening to different style music and been making musical shakers using rice and yoghurt pots.

Then using these to dance along to music and sing. Finally we learnt the sign to ‘music’. Thankyou and have a lovely weekend.
