Hi everyone, just a quick update on what we are learning next week.
Babies are learning simple mark-making using chalks, sand and shaving foam. There’ll be lots of mess going on in there. They will also be looking for hidden sea creatures by delving in shredded paper.
Jungle Room are also exploring sea creatures and their importance in the environment by looking at books, decorating fish shaped rice cakes, and learning about sizes by creating different size fish to decorate their room. They will also be making different shaped fish out of paper plates to make a collage using different textures.
Castle room are learning phonics and will be looking at the number 4 in the environment and doing simple maths to the sum of 4 using number blocks and other resources.
We also have an exciting guest speaker this week. One of our old children is coming back to tell our pre-schoolers what it’s like at big school, for those that are leaving us this year.
And we are all excited about that.
