It is all about independence and learning life skills. We love playing in the role play area, we turned our home corner into a bakery. Children were “baking” rolls and buns today and after they were finished, we asked them to clean all the plates and utensils.
You would have thought that they would have complained. Well no, they loved it. They cleaned the plates, used warm water with soap to clean all the items they used in the bakery. They also decided to give some “babies” a bath. Who are we to deny them the plesure.
I know it won’t last and this keen eagerness will potentially expire by the time these children become teenagers. However, enjoy the view as long as it lasts. 🙂 It won’t be for ever…
