Jungle rom toddlers are getting ready for their Christmas, they will be making snow flakes, christmas tree decorations and a huge christmas tree that will be displayed on our wall in the room. We will be talking about what we are doing and what we are using to make our decorations, thus expanding our toddlers’ vocabulary. We will be helping our jungle room children to get a bit more independent and we will be encouraging them to use their potty instead of nappies and pull ups.
This week in the baby room we will have Personal, Social and Emotional Development week. We are creating new treasury baskets. Babies will be helping us with creating Christmas cards and they will take part in play with natural resources such as leaves and wooden objects.
Pre-school children will be developing their sense of risk assessment, learning how to play with our toys safely. We will continue to teach our 3 and 4 year olds how to look after our toys, how to tidy up and pack away toys into their correct boxes. This week’s letter is “H” and the number of the week is “8”. We will be looking at colour “Black” and the shape of the week is “diamond”.
