Babies physical development motivating children to move with musical instruments. We will then move onto shapes, where babies will be playing with puzzles trying to place shapes into corresponding holes. With the bad weather approaching, we will bring the outside inside and bring the outside “dragon” slide in so the babies can exercise their legs and improve on their climbing skills. We will also attempt to build towers with soft blogs giving babies a chance to bend and stretch.
Toddlers in our Jungle room will continue to work on their independence and social skills. Water and sand play will be on offer daily. We will start working on their name recognition and all activities that involve their whole group.
Pre-schoolers will be taught all about hygiene this week. We will be listening to stories about the importance to wash our hands before eating food and after being to the toilet. We will also be talking about healthy eating habits. Our bakery was so successful last week that the role play will continue into this week. The letter of the week is “B”, colour of the week is “RED” and shape of the week is “Triangle” and our number of the week is “TWO”.
