Our Summer farm trip was a great success this year at our Gillingham nursery. So much so that we had to repeat the trip three times!
Happy Bunnies children really loved going to the Barn Yard today and enjoyed the hot weather too. After we put lots of sun cream on them and made sure every child had a hat on, children got really excited to be travelling on the mini bus. They sang “the wheels on the bus” all the way to and back from the trip.
We took a lovely walk through the orchards where we saw the apples. We might have to go back and pick them in Autumn. We explored our surroundings and we looked for bunnies and their burrows.
Later we moved on and children loved the reservoir especially Eddie who thought the turkeys were funny. When he found out we have these at Christmas sometimes he pointed at the turkey and said: “I will eat you for Christmas”. All children were giggling something silly.
Piggies were popular too. When children stroked them, they thought they felt like brushes in our gigantic nursery sand pit.
Overall the trip to the Farm was a lovely outing. Staff certainly enjoyed being outside too giggling with children and their funny comments.
We would also like to say a big thank you to all the parents and volunteers who helped us and kept all the children safe at all times. We hope you all enjoyed your day too.
