Our children are lucky, they can play with the sand no matter what the weather. Our giant indoor sandpit is great for that. It therefore seems appropriate that their self-registration is also a sandy one.
It is important that children learn to recognise their own name (pictures of their faces help), also self-registering enhances their independence, self worth and sense of belonging. We only have one small problem with this idea, and that is that all name pictures needed to be produced twice as all children want to take them home. Oh dear, it is so hard to keep them happy.
